2: Payment Methods

We accept VISA, Master Card, American Express, and Discover.

Checks and Money Orders for orders shipped to US addresses are welcome, but must clear your bank before the order will be shipped. Typically 12 to 15 work days.

We also accept PayPal.

All funds are in US dollars.

3: Shipping Methods

Most customers choose to ship orders with a subtotal under $50 by Priority Mail. Orders with a subtotal over $50 require insurance or a signature upon delivery and ship by your choice of either UPS, USPS Insured Priority Mail or USPS Express Mail. USPS will require a signature upon delivery for orders with a subtotal over $100 using USPS Insured Priority Mail. Orders to businesses should include the business name to insure delivery. Only owners manuals and other literature can be shipped by USPS Standard Mail. All APO addresses, PO boxes, orders to Canada, Puerto Rico, Alaska, Hawaii, and all US territories will be shipped by US Mail.

Please note that requests for UPS to residential delivery surcharge areas will be charged actual cost and will often make your shipping charges around $8.00.  You may estimate UPS shipping at www.ups.com  Packages ship from 31792 ZIP and are usually under a pound for single items. 

 

PO Boxes should be listed as part of your shipping address if it is your only way of receiving Mail. If you elect to ship by Mail and your address does not show to be a valid Mailing address, we will ship to a PO box that is listed as the billing address if it is the only valid Mail address.  You should include some indication if Mail should not ship to a PO address in the billing address.  

If your package is returned as undeliverable and you did not include a shipping choice or you have given an incorrect shipping address or forwarding address, you will be liable for return shipping at the standard $6 rate or exact cost which ever is greater. If you can not receive either Mail Or UPS at the shipping address you have given please let us know in the notes section of the shopping cart.

5: Express Mail

Express Mail (Next Day) is $23.00 and is available on any in stock remote controls.

Express Mail (Next Day) Orders must be placed before 12:00 EST on weekdays. We will make every effort to process your order for same day shipping, but this is an offered service that may be affected by uncontrollable factors.

NewRemoteControl and Electronic Repair Service will not be liable for more than refund of shipping charges for any next day orders. Shipping guarantees are provided by the carrier. Shipping charges will not be refunded for any other reasons.

Some areas are only guaranteed 2 day delivery using Express Mail. See The Next Day Air page for more info.

You May Request UPS Shipping For $8.

6: Canadian Orders

There may be credit card restrictions. Credit card Address Verification is not available in all areas.

PayPal always welcome.

Mail in orders for Canadian addresses using check or money order are NOT an option and will be rejected and your check or money order returned.

You are liable for any import duties or taxes.
We will not value any shipped item lower than it's invoiced price for customs.
Please do not ask.

7: Shipping Times and Back Orders

In stock items usually ship within 1 to 3 work days variable by current order loads.

Typical shipping times on non stock items are 4-8 days.

Normal back order items usually ship in 15 to 25 work days.

National back order items ship when available.

You Are Liable For Your Order Until You Have Received An Order Cancellation Notice.

Back Orders that are received within 90 days will ship when received.

Back Orders received after 90 days will require a confirmation from you before the order ships.

8: Product Warranty

All products purchased from NewRemoteControl & ErsWebSales are warranted by the manufacturer unless indicated ERS warranty. Manufacturer's warranties apply from the date of purchase.

Terms of warranty may vary. The typical warranty period for all items sold on this web site is 90 days.
Any of the following will void all warranties:
Tampering-includes any attempt to open the remote control case under any circumstance.
Physical or break damage including all claims for broken battery covers or buttons torn from keypad.
Water damage.
Any new remote that shows excessive use for the time owned.
In all cases any warranties must be acceptable to the manufacturer.

Some remote controls are packaged with batteries from the manufacturer. Because we buy in bulk, these packages may be in our inventory for long periods of time. It is possible for the included batteries to lose their charge while on our shelf. These batteries are not considered in the price of your remote and are not included in any warranty.

Remote controls and accessories that fail within the manufacturers warranty period should be returned to ERS for exchange unless the invoice or any manufacturers paperwork included with the item specifies "return to manufacturer for warranty".
You must obtain an RA before any returns. See "Returns and Cancellations".

9: Compatibility Guarantee / Include Your Model

For OEM Replacement Remote Controls:  If you include the model number of the set that you are purchasing the remote control for, we will guarantee the correct application for factory original replacement remotes and compatibility for the manufacturers substitute remote up to any posted differences. For ERS subs, generic remotes, or universal remotes that are listed as subs we guarantee compatibility except for any posted limitations.
This guarantee is for one model only and does not extend to model numbers beyond the one given or any other secondary functions such as programming or learning, etc. Manufacturers subs are usually 100% compatable, but not always. The manufacturers do not give a 100% compatibility guarantees on their sub parts. If we discover a manufacturers sub with any known limitations we will post the information on the original remote page. Subs listed as "ERS Sub" are substitutes that we have discovered that will make an acceptable replacement when the manufacturer does not offer a sub, or it's a better or cheaper option than the manufacturer sub. We guarantee any subs up to known posted limitations.

For Generic Replacement or Universal Remote Controls: The remote controls we sell that are referred to as "Generic Remotes" are designed to work a specific manufacturers product line. Generic remotes are always returnable.  You are liable for re-stocking fees unless you include the make and model number on your original order. Compatibility on universal remotes is strictly limited to models that we have listed as a replacement or instances where the manufacturer has indicated specific models. Most blister packed universal remotes are only returnable if defective for warranty exchange.  

You Should Always Incude The Make And Model Number If:

  • You Have Any Doubt About The Remote You Are Replacing
  • Only Part Of The Model Number Is Posted In The Lookup Tables

You Do Not Need To Send The Model Number If:

  • You Are Replacing The Exact Remote And It Matches The Generic Number And Picture (Still doesn't hurt to send it though)
  • You Are Ordering The Wrong Remote On Purpose (Your order will be held up while we question your application)

    Note: If You Let Us Know That You Are Ordering A Remote That Is Not The Manufacturers Original Or Sub, We Will Attempt To Verify Your Application. You Must Send The Model, And Let Us Know Why You Want To Use This Particular Remote In Place Of The Original. I.E. If You Have Previously Used It, Know It Works, And Don't Care That The One You Ordered Doesn't Have The "Widget Button" That The Original Had, Tell Us So We Won't Stop To Tell You Something You Already Know. We Won't Hold Up Your Order Unless We See Some Other Major Problem With Your Choice. We Always Recommend The Manufacturers Original Or Sub When Available, But There Are Many Instances Where A "Much Cheaper" Remote Will Work A Set, But Not Necessarily All Features. In Many Cases The Extra Features Are Rarely Used And Are Available From The Set's Menu. We May Not Offer A Compatibility Guarantee, But If It Looks Like It Will "Technically" Work Your Model We Let You Know.  If The Manufacturer Does Not Offer The Remote In Question As A Sub, Often The Only Way To Absolutely Verify It's Operation Is To Get It In Front Of Your Set. :)

10: Returns, Cancellations and Refunds

All returns must be authorized and must be issued a return authorization to be accepted.
Compatibility Issues, Cosmetic, Or Shipping Damage Claims Must Be Made Within 5 Days Of Receipt!!

Any authorized returns will be subject to a 25% restocking fee. Shipping charges are not refundable.

All Credit Card refunds will be issued to the originally charged credit card only.  Refund checks will only be issued in the original order name only  and mailed to the original address only.

Exchanges for another item are not always subject to this criteria.

Any remote control or accessory that is not a normally stocked item is considered to be a special order item. Special orders can not be cancelled after our order is placed to our distributor and are only returnable if defective for warranty exchange.

All Literature Sales Are Final. No returns for any owners or service manuals for any reason. The only time manuals will be exchanged is if the supplier sent the incorrect manual and then it is to exchange for the correct item only.

Any Accepted Cancellations For Manuals or Special Orders After We Have Actually Placed Our Order With Our Supplier Will Be Charged a Special Order Cancellation Fee In Addition To The Regular Re-Stocking Fee.
$5 + 25% On all Owners Manuals.  Service Manuals may not be cancelled. Special order items will be charged $10 + 25% restocking for items costing up to $50.  Special order items costing over $50 may not be cancelled. These charges will not apply in any case that the item is on back order and the supplier will allow it to be cancelled.

Customer is liable for any shipping charges to our facility. This includes warranty returns and exchanges. We will not reimburse Next Day delivery charges for any reason including warranty issues.

Customer is liable for the item until it is received by Electronic Repair Service. We will not be liable for any lost or damaged items. Insurance and delivery confirmation are recommended.

Electronic Repair Service will cover normal return shipping on warranty replacements. Any additional or special shipping charges will be the responsibility of the customer.

11: Shipping Damage

NO SHIPPING DAMAGE CLAIMS WILL BE HONORED WITHOUT CONTAINER AND ALL PACKING MATERIALS!!

Shipping damage must be immediately reported to the carrier.

Shipping damaged items sent by Mail (USPS) must be returned to us with shipping container and all packaging.
The Post Office will return an obviously damaged package if you refuse it.
For received items use "Shipping Damage Return" and your 5 digit invoice number for an RA#.
Return all items as received including shipping materials in a larger package if necessary.

For Shipping Damaged UPS shipments call 1-800-PICK-UPS. (1-800-742-5877)
UPS will inspect the damage and pick up the item for return. You must have all shipping materials!!

12: Prices and Billing

All "Special Order" items are pre-authorized at the time your order is processed. Pre-authorization sets aside the money in your account but your card is not actually charged until the item is received and your order ships.

All Prices are subject to change. In the event of incorrect pricing due to supplier price change, clerical errors, or posting errors, we will not be liable to provide the product at less than dealer cost plus normal shipping. Price changes on special order items that are more than a 10% increase will be quoted before the order is processed.

Orders are billed in total and will ship complete unless there will be a back order in excess of 7 days. Special Order items are pre-authorized at the time of order and are not cancelable.
